i am thankful for the little moments

my eyes on your smile

your whisper in my ear

a glimpse of what was and could

and learning to be

with each other again

sharing space and memories

creating and reminiscing and dreaming

there are so many things on the list

for us

you’re on your side

i’m on mine

soft lips curl up

your eyes are closing

and i start floating

with the dream of you next to me

again
