the sky's song

The sky puts the day to rest. She wakes the day up. Lately, she's been starting off strong. early brilliant colors, and letting the rest of time and space ease into existence. At the day's end, there's the unmistakable lingering warmth of a shy winter sun. Streaks of white coat the blue as she embraces her own vastness.

Crisp air startles my nose and seeps down the back of my throat. Salt crunches between steps. There's a song in the sky. Look up, listen.

Colors sweep her canvas-- make way. Yet, she is gentle, kind. Sending us messages like lovers write letters. She holds a great and intense presence. You don't want to miss out.
