CDT Dunlap's failure to secure her personal cell phone is a direct reflection of her lack of discipline as a first class cadet. CDT Dunlap dropped her car off at the AUTO repair shop- to fix a broken window- with her phone carelessly tossed on the passenger seat. Once her TAC Officer, MAJ Bell, graciously dropped her off at library corner, it took her 200 steps to realize there was a certain "lightness" to her step. This feeling was merely due to the loss of the cell phone. CDT Dunlap sprinted up the stairs in a fit of rage to CDT Coleman and CDT Kewley's room, woke CDT Kewley up from a nap and interrupted CDT Coleman's phone call with his mother to inform them of the situation. They selflessly lent CDT Dunlap a phone to call MAJ Bell in utter embarrassment. If there can be a silver lining it is so: CDT Dunlap was ready to go until the weekend without the cellular in order to not disturb MAJ Bell once again. However, MAJ Bell took mercy on this CDT's broken brain and drove her back to the AUTO shop. CDT Dunlap is mere days away from her commissioning and this lackadaisical approach to ensuring the proper accountability of her personal cellular demonstrates her inability to hold herself to the standard that is expected of an Armadillo PL. While CDT Dunlap attempted to take up minimal time from her TAC Officer's day, she managed to extend the time required of the task and displays the sheer antithesis of transformational leadership (citing CDT Brownell's previous NCOR). We can only hope this young woman takes this failure forward and never tries to "disconnect" from the ties of society again.
