Day 1: 07/03

"R-day was challenging but not as treacherous as it had been made out to be. Easy to see the cadre are only a few years older and still learning. 2 min after I said goodbye and was up in the front of Ike Hall one of the cadre members belted out some instructions and then said, "Oh shit. I messed up already." - reassuring to see they mess up too. Pull-ups were a nightmare - 1 - but definitely going to improve my shoulder strength this summer.

I was really my biggest cheerleader my first day of beast... should've kept that attitude through school a bit longer... but it seemed fitting to include my first journal entry from West Point as I finished my last official day of undergrad... times are wild!
