I didn't need my laptop past my thesis turn-in and 8:40 presentation, so I nearly forgot my blog... would be tragic, yet so on brand to forget to post while there are only 7 & a butt left in this.
goals for the next few days
*learn how to correctly pronounce all the pasta names
*go for an interval run
*organize my summer road trip
Sitting on bed that has Karoo hairs all over the comforter: the kind of fabric that seems to magnetize any and all hair within a 10m radius. Looking at my glass coffee cup that has crusty cinnamon, nutmeg, & vanilla collagen creamer from this morning: gross, but homey.
I am great at starting books, but absolutely trash at finishing them. Does this speak to my character? I hope not.
current reads
- The Alchemist: 110/180
- Beach Music: 270/700
- A Children's Bible: 7/280
- Homegoing: 135/305
- With the Old Breed 178/300 ish
I am hoping my road trip this June will facilitate my reading via audiobooks. I am quite pleased with the idea of meandering around some odd little western town with a worn paperback in my hand as I find a coffee and a bench to read and watch the sky from. Maybe these are all just dreams, but I am hoping i'll be brave enough to face the world on my #own from my car and just drive & explore & be without too much stress about lack of fresh lettuce or clean showers.
I did miss these Virginian hills and a little Blue Ridge backdrop.
