Good morning. I woke up. I went to the gym. On time, FOR ONCE, but forgot that arvin now actually enforces the towel rule. I made it to the entrance only to be turned away by my BOY, so i guess we were never friends anyway. Finally, made it to the gym 15 minutes late and aggressively ellipiticalled for the remaining 45 minutes of the gym slot. Thank you to Bruno Mars for tempering my anger this morning. The humidity levels in 62 South are not for the faint of heart: I hate to admit this, but I was incredibly grateful for my mandatory sweat rag.
Formation was cute. Inspecting my platoon in ACU's has got to be my favorite thing ever, because I can just say hello and wish my people a happy Monday. Also, the temperature was immaculate despite the humidity.
A quick french press afterwards and I was back to Arvin. My right leg is still at a whole 25% deficit to my left. oop.
Then the second Pfizer shot! For this, I am extremely grateful.
Then I tried to donate blood, but my iron was too low. I was told I need to eat more leafy greens.... I wonder if this is possible to truly do?
Lunch was weird. My head felt very loose. I felt very spinny/floaty. I think I get this way if I don't have many personal interactions in a morning like today. However, all worries spiraled away when I saw the carrots and asparagus in the buffet line.
Starbucks and Ms. Jen always improve the mood, so an iced coffee and small, hot chai latte made their way onto my credit card. I ran into Sarah- a dream as always. Then had to whisk the drinks back to my sleeping beauty, lets call her 'Gabriella', who needed a rest before her only class of the day.
Then a very, very long thesis meeting. Draining but I think I am on the right track... aka I should be investing more time in the paper than this blog-- but that seems kinda lame.
Flickerball dominated the scene like usual.
Dinner included more vegetables...
Made my first appearance to the library this year... how I did not miss that place. It did, however, re-center me and made me realize how much I missed my roommate amidst the silent hmm of stress ruminating in these strict wooden chairs.
** Gabriela is the most productive and well managed humans I have ever encountered. My snide remarks should not detract from her utterly gorgeous disposition-- one really must experience it in person.
i take iron every day. no shame. hmu if you need some. might help with the head spinnyness.
Very Productive and honorable for the amount that you give to the community and company! Keep going! You’re almost there!
Picture is everything
I love getting a fresh chai delivered to my bedside
